托福写作的具体时间：
综合写作（20分钟）
对于以阅读和听力材料为基础的写作试题，考生首先需要3分钟阅读一篇学术短文，并主要记下文章观点和一些主要词汇，为下面的听力部分做准备。然后文章隐去，这时考生需要听一段大约为2分钟的课堂讲解。刚阅读过的短文内容有关，一般是对阅读材料中观点的反驳。
所以，考生就要针对每个观点分别记下听力中给出的反驳理由和例子。有时听力的内容是对阅读材料观点的补充说明，理由和例子也要相应记下。接下来，考生有20分钟的时间来总结听力材料中的要点，并解释这些要点与阅读材料中的要求有何不同。通常有效的回答应是一篇150-225个单词的作文。每个写作任务的分数是0-5分。考查综合语言技能的作文题目的评分以回答的质量、完整性和准确性为依据。

独立写作试题部分需要考生根据自己的知识和经验陈述、解释并支持对待某一问题的某个看法。通常有效的回答应是一篇300个单词左右的作文。
托福写作考试加分点：
1、首先关于篇幅：请大家务必要把作文的长度保持在300字以上，最好能有400字左右。
2、其次是文章的文体格式（style）：是不是按照ETS所要求的论文体（academic）来写的。
3、看你在文章中是否有修辞：大家不妨在文章中使用排比、拟人、比喻等修辞手法，甚至引用和倒装这样的假修辞都会是你的加分法宝。
4、要注意关键句的句型：关键句是指首段观点句、理由段首句和结论段首句。关键句一定要使用复杂句，最好是使用倒装句或强调句。
5、用词是否多样化：同一意思尽量用不同的词来表达而不要重复。
6、看你的例子是否完美支持中心思想，这一点是最近才提出的，也是考生们比较难把握的，建议大家平时多看托福写作题库，并且多思考，多搜集话题，争取做到烂熟与胸。
